On the Overview page of Direct Filing estimates, a file upload option replaces the patent number field. Page and word count data is automatically obtained from uploaded documents.
Skip uploading a file: If you do not have the files easily available, you can still generate a quick Direct Filing estimate using this option. All fields in this case will require manual input.
For Direct Filing projects, file upload is required prior to confirming the project, in the Files & Instructions section.
This application claims priority: This option in Direct Filing workflows is enabled by default, but can be deselected for first filing applications without priority data. If it’s enabled, the following fields are required:
- Priority Application Number
- Priority Country
- Priority Application Filing Date
Add Priority Application: Use this option if your application claims more than one priority
