The Easy Search assistant is the perfect way to quickly find what you are looking for.

You simply need to enter a keyword, a name or a number!

The search will begin once you click on the magnifying glass icon or press Enter.

The search engine does the work for you as it knows where to find the information in the most efficient way:

When entering a keyword, the search will be first performed in Text fields (/BI/SA), then in Assignee and Inventor fields (/PA and /IN) ; if there are not enough results, the motor engine may broaden the search to the Fulltext field (/TX).

If you enter a classification code (partial or complete), it will be researched in the IPC and CPC classification fields.

And if it is a number you entered, it will be recognized as such, and looked for in the search fields of Publication Number (PN), Application Number (AP), and Priority Number (PR).

To ensure a good understanding of your request and to reduce noise in your results, a few automatic actions are in place:

A list of words in English and French were edited so that certain words are automatically deleted (the, a, to, is, in, with, by, an, for, of, be, on, are, which, from, as, at, that, has, when, where, in french : Le, la, du, les, des, que, de ...).

The hyphens are automatically replaced by the joint operator _.

A comma becomes OR ; a space between words will lead to the use of an operator (AND, S, following the need).

Easy Search will follow your instructions:

If you decide to search in a different field (e.g. for a number inside /PN), then the search will be conducted specifically on that field.

If you want to directly use operators (see dedicated article) besides AND and OR, the expression being searched for must be placed in parentheses
In this specific case, the search fields will always be BI and SA.

To review or get a better understanding of where Easy Search has found your results you may:

Left click inside the empty box which will display your search history in a drop-down menu.

Then click on the number of results to display the list of results.

Use the arrows at the bottom of the page to navigate from page to page.

Or use the double arrow to refresh the contents of the history.
